Subotica has a warm-summer humid continental climate ( Dfb) that is uncommon in Serbia except at higher elevations,Ĭlimate data for Subotica (Elevation: 109 m (358 ft)) It is located in the vicinity of lake Palić. It is located in the Pannonian Basin at 46.07° North, 19.68° East, about 10 kilometres (6 miles) from the border with Hungary, and is the northernmost city in Serbia. These two official names were also spelled in several different ways (most commonly the German Maria-Theresiopel or Theresiopel), and were used in different languages. It was officially called Sent-Maria in 1743, but was renamed in 1779 as Maria-Theresiapolis. The town was named in the 1740s after Maria Theresa of Austria, Archduchess of Austria. Other sources claim, that the name "Szabadka" comes from the adjective szabad, which derived from the Slavic word for "free" – svobod, referring to the status of the colonists settled in this zone by the Habsburg after the Battle of Zenta. ![]() It is the origin of the current Hungarian name for the city "Szabadka". ![]() The earliest known written name of the city was Zabotka or Zabatka, which dates from 1391. The name of the city has changed frequently over time. According to the 2022 census, the city itself has a population of 94,228, and the population of metro area (the administrative area of the city) stands at 123,952 people. Formerly the largest city of Vojvodina region, contemporary Subotica is now the second largest city in the province, following the city of Novi Sad. If you keep going west from there, you will find an entrance to a deeper biome.Subotica ( Serbian Cyrillic: Суботица, pronounced i Hungarian: Szabadka, Rusyn: Суботица) is a city and the administrative center of the North Bačka District in the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. You can find Nickel in the blue, harmless brine. It'll be in the brine, which is why I recommend a Prawn, which can survive in the green brine. North of the Junction is a good place for Crystaline Sulfur. Once you're there, I'd recommend heading east (unless you already cam from there) to an alien facility there and explore. This is the Junction, where you can get to the rest of the LR. If you find an alien facility, explore it.įollow through the LR until you find your way to an area with a skeleton with an arm. When you're in the Lost River, if you hear a shriek or see a giant snake, go to silent running and don't turn it off until you're past them. You should see a green liquid on the ground. Once you see the end, start descending downward. Follow just inside the trench until you find the end (there is an area where the trench seems to end, but starts again right on the other side). You can find this entrance by heading southwest of lifepod 17 until you find a large slot in the ground. This area is a rather tight fit for the Cyclops. The last entrance is in the Blood Kelp Trench. If you can brave the dangers, this area is pretty wide and open. I don't recommend this entrance because the surrounding biome is very dangerous, filled with very dangerous creatures and even a massive Ghost Leviathan not far west of the entrance. There is another entrance just southwest of lifepod 2. You should see a cave entrance, leading to a cave that looks like the biome just outside it, but a brighter light blue tint in the water. ![]() If you haven't been there yet, just go beneath the Floating Island and head slightly to the east. There is an entrance north of the 500m Degasi Seabase. I like the Mountains/Bulb Zone entrance because it's safe for the Cyclops, (which I highly recommend for trips to the LR and deeper, as it is basically a mobile base which you can put growbeds and storage in, as well as docking a Prawn Suit or a Seamoth.) You can find this entrance directly north if lifepod 12, if you have the signal. To (almost) fully explore the Lost River, you need a MK3 seamith depth module, a MK1 Cyclops depth module.
